MISSION STATEMENT

"The National Pet Transport Association (NPTA) exists to protect animals in transit by setting and upholding the highest standards in pet transport safety, ethics, and professionalism. We certify drivers and companies who demonstrate a clear commitment to humane care, transparency, and responsible handling—so that every pet arrives safe, happy, and in trusted hands."

 To allow non-certified members to join and build nationwide trust between pet owners, transporters, and organizations—shielding animals and their owners from negligence, fraud, and harm.

Why National Standards Are Needed

The pet transport industry has grown rapidly, but without consistent standards, pets and their families remain vulnerable to negligence, fraud, and harm. Our mission is to raise the bar across the industry and build nationwide trust between pet owners, transporters, and organizations.
